วันนี้ (7 ส.ค.) เกิดเหตุไฟไหม้หัวรถจักร ขบวนรถไฟที่ 463 พัทลุง-สุไหงโก-ลก ซึ่งเป็นขบวนรถไฟท้องถิ่น ขณะเข้าจอดเทียบชานชาลาสถานีรถไฟควนเนียง อ.ควนเนียง จ.สงขลา และมีผู้โดยสารเดินทางมากับรถไฟขบวนนี้จำนวน 7 ตู้รถไฟ ประมาณ 200 คน โดยมีกลุ่มควันและไฟที่ลุกไหม้มาจากเครื่องยนต์ ต้องประสานรถดับเพลิงของเทศบาลตำบลควนเนียงมาฉีดน้ำดับไฟ และสามารถดับไฟเอาไว้ได้ทัน เสียหายเฉพาะห้องเครื่องไม่ได้ลุกลามทั้งหัวรถจักร

โดยขณะเกิดเหตุผู้โดยสารประมาณ 200 คน ที่อยู่บนรถไฟขบวนนี้ต่างต้องรีบลงจากรถไฟรวมถึงพนักงานขับรถและช่างเครื่องประจำรถไฟขบวนนี้ โดยทั้งหมดต่างปลอดภัยไม่มีใครบาดเจ็บ และได้มีการนำหัวรถจักรจากสถานีรถไฟชุมทางหาดใหญ่มาลากตู้รถไฟขบวนนี้ พร้อมผู้โดยสารเดินทางต่อไปยฝสถานีรถไฟหาดใหญ่

ส่วนสาเหตุของการเกิดไฟไหม้หัวรถจักรรถไฟขบวนนี้ยังอยู่ระหว่างการสอบสวน

Hat Yai News Center - A fire broke out in the locomotive of train No. 463 on the Phatthalung-Su-ngai Kolok route while stopping at Khuan Niang railway station in Songkhla province. Approximately 200 passengers are safe. Officials are rushing to determine the cause.

Today (August 7), a fire occurred in the locomotive of train No. 463, a local train running from Phatthalung to Su-ngai Kolok, as it was stopping at the platform of Khuan Niang railway station in Khuan Niang district, Songkhla province. The train consisted of 7 carriages carrying about 200 passengers. Smoke and flames were seen coming from the engine. Fire trucks from Khuan Niang Municipality were called to extinguish the fire, which they managed to do in time. The damage was limited to the engine room and did not spread to the entire locomotive.

During the incident, the approximately 200 passengers on board had to quickly evacuate the train, along with the train driver and the engine mechanic. Everyone was safe, and no injuries were reported. A locomotive from Hat Yai Junction railway station was brought in to pull this train, along with its passengers, to continue the journey to Hat Yai railway station.

The cause of the fire in this train's locomotive is still under investigation.
