รถไฟฟ้าไร้คนขับชุดใหม่ ส่งมาถึงสิงคโปร์แล้ว เพื่อใช้ในสาย North East กับสาย Circle

SINGAPORE: Land Transport Authority has taken delivery of the first new trainsets for the North East and Circle lines from the Shanghai Alstom Transport Co joint venture of Alstom Transport and Shanghai Electric Group.
These are the first of 18 trainsets for the North East Line and 24 for the Circle Line ordered in February 2012, in what Alstom Transport says is its largest ever contract in the Asia-Pacific region. Shanghai Alstom Electrical Equipment Co and Alstoms site in Valenciennes were involved in the design and production.
The driverless trains from Alstoms Metropolis family are expected to enter service in mid-2015. They will increase capacity by an estimated 60-70% on the two lines.

แผนพัฒนารถไฟฟ้าขนส่งมวลชนฮ่องกง มูลค่า 110,000 ล้านเหรียญฮ่องกง (14200 ล้านดอลลาร์) เพื่อขยายเครือข่ายที่มีอยู่แล้ว 218 กิโลเมตร ที่ต้องรองรับผู้โดยสาร 4 ล้าน 5 แสนคนต่อวัน ให้รองรับผู้โดยสารได้มากกว่าเดิม เป็น 70% เพราะ ขณะนี้ยังถือว่ารองรับได้เพียง 40% เท่านั้น โดยสายต่อไปนี้ให้เร่งทำให้แล้วเสร็จ
1. Northern Link (Kam Sheung Road - Kwu Tong) and building of Kwu Tong Railway Station
2. Addition of Hung Shui Kiu Railway Station on the existing West Rail Line
3. Extension of Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung West near Yat Tung Estate
4. Extension of West Rail Line to Tuen Mun South near Tuen Mun Ferry Pier
5. East Kowloon Line from Diamond Hill to Po Lam via Sau Mau Ping area - not told in any of the previous plans or consultation exercises.
6. South Island Line (West) from HKU to Wah Fu and Wong Chuk Hang
7. North Island Line (interchange scheme), meaning both Tung Chung and Tseung Kwan O Lines would be extended on the Hong Kong Island to a point to meet each other to become an interchange. The interchange could possibly be located at Tamar (within walking distance from existing Admiralty Railway Station) or Causeway Bay North.
More details :
1. Listing of stations of the East Kowloon Line - Diamond Hill, Choi Wan, Shun Tin, Sau Mau Ping, Po Tat, and Po Lam.
2. Listing of stations of the South Island Line (West) - Wong Chuk Hang (interchange with the SIL(East) that is currently under construction), Aberdeen, Tin Wan, Wah Fu, Cyberport, Queen Mary Hospital, and HKU (interchange with the Island Line)
3. The so-called North Island Line would actually be formed by the extension of 2 lines based on the interchange option, in which the Tung Chung Line would be extended from Hong Kong to Tamar, and Tseung Kwan O Line would be extended from North Point to Causeway Bay North, Exhibition (interchange with North-South Corridor to Hung Hom, Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau, or Admiralty), and Tamar. Tamar would be the interchange of both TCL and TKL, with an easy transfer between both railway lines by just walking across the platform (cross-platform transfer).

1. Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Express Line - due to construction costs, market demands, and technical constraints
2. Coastal railway line between Tuen Mun - Sham Tsing - Tsuen Wan West - due to high costs that would arise from technical difficulties and geography of that stretch of coastal area.
3. Railway line into Siu Sai Wan, either extending or bifurcating from existing Island Line or to build LRT system into that town.

มาเลเซียเลือก Bukit Chagar เป็นปลายทางรถไฟฟ้า ระหว่างยะโฮห์บารูกะสิงคโปร์ จากตัวเลือก เช่น Tanjung Puteri, JB Sentral 1 และ JB Sentral 2 โดย Bukit Chagar จะมีด่านศุลกากรและ ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองแยกมาจาก ศุลกากร ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง และ ด่านตรวจโรค (CIQ) ของ Sultan Iskandar Building (SIB) - ตอนนี้ก็เหลือแต่การตัดสินใจของฝั่งสิงคโปร์ ว่าจะตั้งด่านศุลกากรและ ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง ที่ไหน สำหรับทางรถไฟฟ้ามหานครที่ข้ามประเทศ นี้เป็นส่วนต่อขยาย ของ Thomson Line ที่มีปลายทาง ที่ Woodland North
