Bangkok is a suffocating city. And it is not just the traffic, not just the sea of people, not just the smog and not just the noise. Within the city, there's not enough big green parks where residents could freely stroll and laze and relax. Stupid politicians spend their budget billions on projects that do not make any pleasant impression to the city residents.
If I have my druthers, I would wish to convert all the military/naval bases within the Bangkok perimeters to parks. So too two huge race tracks which should be relocated outside of the city, and those area converted to city parks.
Particularly in areas of the impoverished ... the slums ... the governor of Bangkok should find areas for park development for these people!
And those city property developers should be required to contribute a certain percentage (10% of their condominium/property development project costs ... at the minimum) to a central city park development fund ... specifically to used/spent on city park developments.
