Flash back:
30 June 2011
the last train ... The VIP train at 2300hrs driven by His Excellency, the Sultan of Johor himself, out of Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, marking the end and handing over of KTM land to Singapore.
It also marked the beginning of the Green Rail Corridor as we have today.

ปลายทางรถไฟสาย Jurong ในยุค 60s
Over the weekend, we announced a new nature trail that would run along the Old Jurong Line. The Old Jurong Line is a disused railway track that runs through Clementi Forest.
Many of us may not know this, but back then, the Jurong Railway was used to transport goods between Malaysia and Jurong. The 19km railway line ran from Bukit Timah Railway Station (which we have conserved and are currently restoring as well) as an interchange, to Jurong.
As Jurong became more developed in the 1980s, the railway line was underutilised as trucks became a more convenient way to transport goods. The line ceased operations in the early 1990s.
With the Old Jurong Line Nature Trail, Singaporeans will not only enjoy the biodiversity in the area, but also experience a small part of Singapores transportation history - the old tunnels, tracks and bridges.
