Today, we are taking a train in Myanmar, starting from Yangon Station with the destination of Kyaiktiyo Station. From there, we will transfer to a songthaew (a type of shared taxi) to reach Kinpun Camp, where we will prepare to visit the Golden Rock Pagoda, also known by the Burmese as Kyaiktiyo. The Golden Rock Pagoda is considered one of the five sacred sites that Burmese people strive to visit at least once in their lifetime.

This video will document the journey from Yangon to Mandalay by train, a daytime trip. The train departs from Yangon station at 7:00 AM and arrives in Mandalay at 10:30 PM, taking approximately 14 hours. The main destinations are to witness the face washing ceremony of the Maha Muni Buddha and to see the city of Bagan firsthand, which has recently been designated as a new UNESCO World Heritage site in Myanmar.

Today, we will travel on the earliest morning train from Mandalay Railway Station to see the tallest and most thrilling railway bridge in Myanmar, the Goteik Viaduct. This bridge, over 100 years old, is the highest railway bridge in both Myanmar and Southeast Asia. After visiting the viaduct, we will take the train back to Pyin Oo Lwin, a former British colonial hill station. Situated 1,000 meters above sea level, Pyin Oo Lwin enjoys cool weather all year round. This town boasts beautiful colonial-era buildings and architecture. Notably, horse carriages are still used for transportation, not just for tourism, giving visitors a sense of stepping back into the colonial past.
