สถานีรถไฟกุดจิก อายุ 124 ปี สร้างขึ้นในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 จำเป็นต้องย้ายออกจากพื้นที่ก่อสร้างเส้นทางรถไฟความเร็วสูง ไทย - จีน เมื่อวันที่ 4 - 13 มกราคม 2567 เพื่ออนุรักษ์ไว้ให้เป็นอนุสรณ์แก่คนรุ่นหลัง ได้รำลึกถึงประวัติศาสตร์อันทรงคุณค่า โดยย้ายมายังพื้นที่ฝั่งตรงข้าม ซึ่งในอนาคตจะพัฒนาเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ท้องถิ่น จัดแสดงนิทรรศการภาพและข้อมูลประวัติศาสตร์

อำลาอาคารสถานีเก่า สถานีเขาย้อย รูปแบบแปลนอาคารสถานีแบบที่ 2 ถูกรื้อเป็นที่เรียบร้อย ตลอดระยะเวลาเกือบ 70 ปีที่ใช้งานมา ปัจจุบันเปลี่ยนไปใช้อาคารคอนกรีตของโครงการทางรถไฟทางคู่สายใต้แทน

เริ่มรื้อสถานีนครปฐมแล้วครับ เพราะ เป็นงานที่ต้องทำก่อนเปิดใช้อาคารสถานีนครปฐมหลังใหม่

อ้าว รื้อแล้ว นึกว่าจะเก็บไว้ใช้ในกิจการอื่นเสียอีกครับ แต่ค่าบำรุงรักษาเยอะ
เสียดายที่สถานีใหม่ ๆ จะอยู่ไม่ตรงกับถนนสายหลัก เยื้องหลบมุมไปหมดเลยครับ

Regrettably, the structure has been dismantled. I had assumed it would be repurposed for an alternative enterprise. However, the associated maintenance expenditures were likely substantial.

It is unfortunate that the new stations are not situated on the primary thoroughfare; they have entirely bypassed the intersection.
