Thanon Rim Thang Rot Fai Nok (The road beside the railway) outside Thetsaban 5 School (Wat Hua Pom Nok) in Songkhla city used to be the railway line from Hat Yai to Songkhla. When the train service stopped, the municipality filled in the land and paved it with asphalt to make a road.
Later, in 2008, the municipality dug up the road to lay reinforced concrete drainage pipes and found many rusty rails and rotten wood sleepers.
