The construction progress on the Den Chai-Chiang Rai-Chiang Khong railway line is advancing rapidly, with a significant number of pillars already erected. The project is currently ahead of schedule by 0.145%.
The speaker says the completion of the project is expected in 2571 (year 2028 of Christian era) and it will significantly reduce travel times between the cities compared to traveling by car.
Here are some key details from the video:
* The railway is 323 kilometers long and will run through four provinces: Phrae, Lampang, Phayao, and Chiang Rai.
* The project includes construction of stations, bridges, tunnels and other railway structures. A new innovation from Switzerland called "AR Bit" is being used for the first time in Thailand to construct curved bridges. This design was chosen to address concerns raised by local residents about the impact of the original narrow bridge design on their access routes.
* The project is expected to be completed in 2571 (2028) and will reduce travel times by 1-1.5 hours compared to traveling by car. This new railway is expected to become an important route for tourism and economic development in the future.
