A 29-year-old Indian ice cream vendor was tragically killed when his motorbike was struck by a train in Prachinburi province, Thailand, on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Mr. Sten, was reportedly attempting to cross the railway tracks despite the automatic barrier being down. An eyewitness, Mr. Dusit Charoensap, recounted seeing the train from Aranyaprathet heading towards Bangkok collide with the motorbike, splitting it in two. Mr. Sten's body was found with severe injuries.
Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene and transported the body to Prachantakham Hospital. Mr. Sten's friend, Mr. Ade, was informed of the accident and notified other acquaintances. The victim is survived by his wife and child who reside in India.
