Passengers fled in terror as a fire broke out on a train as it was entering Kabin Buri train station. The locomotive was completely destroyed.
At noon on October 8, 2024, authorities were alerted to a fire on a train engine at Kabin Buri train station in Prachin Buri province. Fire trucks were urgently requested to extinguish the flames.
Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered that the engine of train number 281, running from Bangkok to Kabin Buri, had caught fire as it was pulling into the station. Smoke and flames were billowing from the locomotive, causing panic among the passengers on board.
Once the train had come to a complete stop, the train driver and station staff attempted to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers, but were unsuccessful.
