Traffic Impact:
Road Closure: One lane is closed in each direction on Somdet Phrachao Taksin Road, near Ploi Kasem Building to Soi Somdet Phrachao Taksin 41 (approximately 300 meters). This closure facilitates the construction of the main track and Daokhanong Station.
Duration: The closure is in effect 24 hours a day from March 7, 2023, to October 20, 2027.
Remaining Lanes: Three lanes remain open in each direction.

The Purple Line tunnel, however, will plunge even deeper, reaching a depth of approximately 20 meters below the riverbed.
This depth is necessary to accommodate the existing urban landscape and avoid disrupting older buildings and communities above. Despite the challenges, engineers expect the river crossing to take approximately 15 days, similar to the time required for tunneling through regular terrain.
