Special trains to be expanded for Christmas holidays

During the Christmas holidays, in order to facilitate the travel of tourists and departmental staff, Myanmar Railways will expand the regular trains on Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon, Yangon-Pyay-Yangon and Yangon-Mawlamyine-Yangon routes, in addition to special trains, according to Myanma Railways.

The Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw DEMU (Spanish) Asan special train will depart from Yangon Station at 6:30 am tomorrow (December 25) and (December 28) and arrive at Nay Pyi Taw Station at (12) noon, while the DEMU (Spanish) Ason special train will depart from Nay Pyi Taw at (12:30 pm) and arrive in Yangon at (6) pm.

In addition, the Yangon-Pye Air Bag Special Train will depart from Yangon Station at 1:00 PM on December (25) and arrive at Pyay Station at 8:55 PM, while the Pyay-Yangon Air Bag Special Train will depart from Pyay Station at 10:30 AM on December (28) and arrive in Yangon at 6:30 PM.

Similarly, the Yangon-Mawlamyine Air Bag Special Train will depart from Yangon Station at 9:15 AM on December (25) and arrive at Mawlamyine Station at 6:00 PM, while the Air Bag Special Train will depart from Mawlamyine Station at 9:10 AM on December (28) and arrive at Mawlamyine Station at 5:55 PM.

In addition to these special trains, regular trains will also be connected by full-load coaches. The train fares and stations will be the same as those of regular trains. High-class tickets must be purchased three days in advance and ordinary tickets one day in advance at the relevant stations.

In addition, advance tickets for Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon trains can be booked (5) days in advance by calling 09880942600 (Nay Pyi Taw), 09880942601 (Pyin Mana), 09880942608 (Yangon) and paying with MMQR Code. Passengers who queue up can also pay with MMQR Code in addition to cash, according to Myanma Railways.

เมื่อวันที่ 6 ม.ค. กลุ่มชาติพันธุ์เชื้อสายกะเหรี่ยงร่วมกันออกแถลงการณ์ประกาศเอกราชอย่างเป็นทางการจากรัฐเมียนมา พร้อมสถาปนา สาธารณรัฐกอทูเล (Government of Kawthoolei-G.O.K.) รัฐเอกราชแห่งใหม่ โดยระบุว่าการดำเนินการเป็นสิทธิอันชอบธรรมของชนชาวกะเหรี่ยง ภายใต้หลักกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศและสิทธิมนุษยชนสากล โดยประกาศ ณ ฐานที่มั่นแห่งหนึ่งชายแดนไทย-เมียนมา ตรงข้าม ต.หนองหลวง อ.อุ้มผาง จ.ตาก

ในแถลงการณ์ที่เผยแพร่ในนามรัฐบาลสาธารณรัฐกอทูเล อ้างอิงถึงปฏิญญาสากลว่าด้วยสิทธิมนุษยชน รวมถึงอนุสัญญาระหว่างประเทศว่าด้วยสิทธิพลเมืองและสิทธิทางการเมือง (ICCPR) และอนุสัญญาว่าด้วยสิทธิทางเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และวัฒนธรรม (ICESCR)

สำหรับรัฐบาลสาธารณรัฐกอทูเล ประกาศรายชื่อคณะผู้นำชุดแรก ประกอบด้วย พล.อ.เนอดา เมียะ (ซอเนอดา เมียะ บุตรชายนายพลโบเมียะ อดีตประธานาธิบดี KNU สหภาพแห่งชาติกะเหรี่ยงอิสระ) ดำรงตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดี, ซอ ฮซาร์ เกย์ โป รองประธานาธิบดีคนที่ 1 และรักษาการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ, ซอ เดวิด ทาเคอร์พอว์ รองประธานาธิบดีคนที่ 2 และรักษาการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกิจการพันธมิตร, ซอ โพว์ ทูเลย์ นายกรัฐมนตรี และรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกิจการศาสนา และ ซอ เดวิด ลอว์ดู รองนายกรัฐมนตรี และรักษาการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหม.
