China's leading railway corporation wants to build urban railways in Hanoi and Hochiminh City

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh says that it is necessary to maximize the role of corporations, state-owned companies of two countries in the railway sector, draw experience from previous projects, continue to implement cooperative projects as effectively and as quickly as possible, in the spirit of "harmonious interests, shared risks".
Accordingly, he suggested the CRRC to study cooperation with the Vietnam Railway General Company and Vietnamese businesses in the production, transfer of technology for locomotives, trains, manpower training, and support for resources.
Both sides need to engage in specific work, participate in building quality, efficient railway projects, contribute to the development of the railway industry in Vietnam; welcome CRRC to participate in other projects, areas such as new energy.
