At 12:00 PM yesterday (July 11), the Laem Chabang Police Station in Si Racha, Chonburi Province, received a report of a train crashing into a chemical tanker truck and a pickup truck. The accident occurred at a railway crossing in the Laem Chabang Port area, Moo 3, Thung Sukhla Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province.
The scene was located in the Laem Chabang Port area, where the railway crossing uses an automatic system. At the center of the crossing, a red locomotive was found in a state of collision with an 18-wheeler Isuzu truck carrying two chemical tanks, which was heavily damaged. The chemical tanks had fallen off the trailer. Nearby, a white Mitsubishi pickup truck was also found damaged. Port authority officials cordoned off the area, preventing unauthorized personnel from approaching.
Upon inspection, it was found that both chemical tanks were intact with no signs of leakage. Officials later secured the tanks.
Initially, officials inspected the scene and asked all drivers involved to join the authorities for further questioning and legal proceedings.
