เวียดนามพยายามระดมทุนสร้างรถไฟความเร็วสูงเหนือใต้ ที่ความเร็วสูงสุดรถโดยสาร 350 กิโลเมตรต่อชั่วโมง โหลดเพลา 17 ตัน เป็นเงิน 67320 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ โดย 30% เป็นเงินกู้ต่างชาติ และ 70% เป็นเงินทุนในประเทศ

Phan Thiet Branch Line Vietnam Railways

The Phan Thiet Branch Line diverges from Vietnam Railways' North-South Main Line at Binh Thuan, 1551 kms south of Hanoi, 175 km north of Saigon.

It runs approximately 10kms in a south easterly direction from the main line, but ends 4km's short of the beaches & hotels of the resort town. The line has 1 passenger service in each direction daily (Trains SPT1 & 2).

Trying to come up with standardized investment on North South High Speed train with 350 kph to please both passenger trains and cargo trains along with Haiphong - Hanoi - Laocai electrified double tracking project and Vietnamese section of Lao - Vietnam railway and boosting up the GPD by 1% from 2025 to 2037 - even the mix of high speed train and cargo trains on the same tracks at the speed beyond 200 kph are very stressful to say the least.
