Currently on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route, there are pairs of trains DL3/DL4 running daily, pairs of trains DL1/DL2, DL5/DL6, DL7/DL8 and DL9/DL10 running according to customer needs.
Departing at Da Lat station, train DL3 runs at 9:55 a.m., arriving at Trai Mat at 10:25 a.m.; Train DL1 runs at 7:50 a.m., arriving at 8:20 a.m.; Train DL5 runs at 12:00, arriving at 12:30; Train DL7 runs at 2:05 p.m., arriving at 2:35 p.m.; Train DL9 runs at 4:10 p.m., arriving at 4:40 p.m.
In the opposite direction, departing from Trai Mat, train DL4 runs at 10:55 a.m., arriving at Da Lat station at 11:25 a.m.; Train DL2 runs at 8:50 a.m., arriving at 9:20 a.m.; Train DL6 runs at 1:00 p.m., arriving at 1:30 p.m.; Train DL8 runs at 3:05 p.m., arriving at 3:35 p.m.; Train DL10 runs at 5:10 p.m., arriving at 5:40 p.m.
Ticket prices range from 72,000-100,000 VND/ticket/turn. When passengers buy round-trip tickets, the ticket price is reduced by 25%, to only 108,000 VND/two-way ticket. Passengers buy group tickets for 15-29 people, ticket prices are only from 61,000 VND/ticket/turn; From 30 people or more, ticket price is from 58,000 VND/ticket/turn. Especially train ticket price DL1/DL2 is only 50,000 VND/trip.
We took our first real train ride from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh. We were traveling during Tet and found limited ticket options so we went for a sleeper 4 berth, which was a small, shared sleeping cabin. We documented the entire exciting journey.
