29 March 2024: The train 1035 to Battambang collided with a bus transporting passengers to visit Chrak La Eang waterfall this morning at 11.16 a.m. near Bamnak station (PK123). According to pictures, the accident was severe, as the train derailed and many passengers on the bus were seriously injured. (The train usually arrives at 9:30 am, but today it broke down at Kdol station for almost 2 hours.) 🥺
Correction: My previous report indicated 9:30 am, but according to the CCTV footage, the actual time of the incident was 11:16 am.

Investigation Report of the 5th January 2024 Train Collision in Bandung

On 5th January 2024, a collision occurred between Train 350 Commuter Line Bandung Raya and Train 65A Turangga at Km 181+700 on the line between Cicalengka and Haurpugur station, Bandung.
National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) conclude that this accident occurred due to an Uncommanded signal sent by the interface system without order from mechanical block signaling equipment of Cicalengka Station, which was processed by Haurpugur Station. The uncommanded signal is then displayed in Haurpugur as an indication appears to have been given a "Safe Block" by Cicalengka Station. This led train dispatcher in Haurpugur continue to depart Train 350 CL Bandung Raya to Cicalengka.
The factors that contributed to this accident case were that an uncommanded signal was found from the interface system due to a voltage transient with a very high amplitude in a very short time during relay switching operations which may have been influenced by the wiring and grounding conditions of the interface system and mechanical block equipment at Cicalengka Station.
